2014 to Present MINDFUL ARTS SAN FRANCISCO, a program of THE SAN FRANCISCO EDUCATION FUND

MINDFUL ARTS SAN FRANCISCO FOUNDER AND LEAD FACILITATOR: Coordinator of 75 volunteers to bring mindfulness training to San Francisco Unified School District students. Using stories, theatre games, and art activities volunteers bring mindfulness to over a thousand young people annually to teach the life skills of Emotional Intelligence, Self Regulation, Focus, and Kindness.

1996-2013         THE NEW CONSERVATORY THEATRE CENTER, San Francisco, CA.

CONSERVATORY DIRECTOR:   Coordinated every aspect of an internationally known theatrical training program.  Managed a staff of over twenty drama specialists for youth and adult workshops.  Increased outreach efforts from 5 classes a year to over 80.  Responsible for managing successful Children’s Matinee Series. Oversaw student body of youth and Adults of 700 at 25 sites throughout S.F.

1995-1996     THE NEW CONSERVATORY THEATRE CENTER, San Francisco, CA.

BOX OFFICE MANAGER:   Managed box offices of three-theatre facility, handling all ticketing and publicity.   Oversaw and managed a staff of five Box Office Employees.   Assisted in the creation of a thriving Subscription Series.

1994-1995     CALIFORNIA THEATRE WING, Pleasanton, CA.

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE:   Performer/Stage Manager of touring Educational Programs.  Instructor of 12 week Acting workshop for ages 3rd-5th grades with an emphasis on individual development.           

  1991-1993 DREAMERS AGAINST DRUGS, City of Tampa Recreation Department, Tampa, Fl.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR:  One of three responsible for directing, writing, and producing an award-winning  substance abuse prevention program.  Aided in the hiring and directing of twelve inner city youths, ages 8-13, in theatrical production.  Assisted in the coordination and publicizing of Tampa Bay Area tour of schools recreation centers, festivals, shopping malls and television stations.

1993  KIDS ON STAGE, City of Tampa Recreation Department, Tampa, FL

DRAMA INSTRUCTOR/DIRECTOR  Successfully created three 8-week classes for young people ages 8-16 with an emphasis on a performance experience.   Utilized extensive theatrical knowledge of Creative Dramatics as a means of enhancing self esteem,  confidence and team building skills of the participants.

 1992-1994                            THE DISNEY CREW, Pinellas and Pasco County, Florida

PERFORMER:   Performed in an award-winning Disney-created substance abuse puppet  performance sponsored by Operation P.A.R., Inc. servicing a two county area. Presented at drug awareness seminars and conferences.  Participated in numerous puppetry-training workshops at Walt Disney World.

NEW YORK UNIVERSITY, Tisch School of the Arts (B.A. in Theater) 1988                             Training received at N.Y.U.: The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, Playwrights Horizons, Practical Aesthetics Workshop at Lincoln Center.

1993-1994                     Chairperson of NIGHT LIGHTS IN YBOR.  

A 5K run to benefit the TAMPA AIDS NETWORK; Event attracted over 1,000 runners & raised over 27,000 dollars.
